I’m a GIGANTO fan of cycling, especially the cross country/mountain type. There’s something about screaming down rocky, rooted out hills that I can’t seem to get enough of. But I’ve recently found that I like to jump over and off of mounds of dirt too. I get excited when I see somebody rippin’ it. Check out the trailer below for an example… I got a chill the first time I watched it.

Bonobo – Black Sands. This album is pretty much the goods. From beginning to end, the goods. I also just picked up an older mix he did under the pseudo name Baraka, it too is the goods.

I also listen to rain storm loops in between every album, it’s like cleansing the pallet; my ears being the pallet. Rain is awesome.

We need rain right now, do a rain dance, please.

On Friday, a few friends (Joe and Mas) and myself dropped in on Tampa, Florida to attend a highly anticipated “front end design conference”, aptly named the Front End Design Conference. The all female cast included some heavy weights in the web design world, including Larissa Meek (yes, she used to be a model) of Agency.net, Meagan Fisher of Simple Bits, and the über posh, Sarah Parmenter (soon to be Woolner).

Highlights from the day include, receiving a free linen bag with a ghost printed on it (seriously, it’s pretty cool), chatting with Alan for the 1^st time since our SFC days (the dude still cracks me up), Larissa Meeks, and Meagan Fisher’s presentations were spot on (as expected). The highlight of the day had to be Miss Parmenter (soon to be Mrs.); the British accent and on-point-one-liners had the place full of chuckles. Good stuff.

At a few points throughout the day, I felt as if we were going over basic concepts learned in design school, but overall, it was a good little conference.
